Sherwin Rice

I do not use the word “mensch” often. And while there are many good and great people in this world, I always considered Sherwin a “mensch.” And as I further explore the definition, a true “mensch” would be too modest to be complimented. That would be Sherwin.
From the first day I went to work at Berkline until the day it closed (20 years later) Sherwin was a true friend to everyone, a professional in every way and was always there to help or to lend an ear. My life has been enriched because I knew Sherwin. Rest in Peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Sherwin beginning in 2006 at Southern Motion. Sherwin was such a kind, knowledgeable, humble sales rep. Plus at the end of the day during furniture markets, we enjoyed drinking Scotch! His customers adored and respected him as did all our fellow reps at Southern Motion. I was honored to inherit part of Sherwin’s S. IL territory upon his retirement. He left big shoes to fill! RIP in peace dear friend.
